Trip Cost Calculator

Choose a destination and press Calculate. Results are ranges built from our dated daily estimates with explicit assumptions, never a single guaranteed figure.

Methodology and assumptions

Daily costs come from the destination database: per person, per day, by tier, with the as-of date, source, method and confidence printed on every destination page. Multipliers: food (0.75 / 1.0 / 1.4), transport (0.6 / 1.0 / 1.8), activities (0.5 / 1.0 / 1.8), nightlife (0 / 1 / 3 × 35% of the food figure). The second and later travellers add 60% of accommodation (shared rooms) at mid-range and comfortable tiers and 100% in dorms, and 100% of everything else. Scenarios are −15% and +20% around the estimate. Nothing here is a quote.
