Facts, never advice. Every page reports what we found, with its date and source. We do not recommend financial products, we do not tell readers which visa to apply for, and we do not rank destinations by anything we cannot explain.

Specific, not templated. Each destination page is written about that place; the seven travel-style notes are written per destination, not generated from a pattern. Where research is incomplete we keep a field unavailable or a page in draft rather than publish polished filler.

Sources and dates. Cost estimates, climate figures, advisory levels and visa rules carry their provenance. Guides list their sources. Pages show when they were last updated.

News selection. Headlines are aggregated from mainstream publishers and official advisory feeds. Press-release wires, sponsored content and rating mills are excluded by a standing blocklist. Every item names its publisher, shows the publisher's own summary and links to the original. Inclusion is not endorsement.

AI-written content, labelled. Data briefs and Ask the Data answers are generated with AI from the figures on this site under rules that forbid advice, predictions and invented numbers. They are labelled wherever they appear and carry their as-of dates. Interface translations are machine-assisted; legal text stays in English.

Imagery. Photographs of real places are licensed and credited to their photographers; we never present a generated image as a real named place. Decorative and concept imagery may be generated and is disclosed site-wide.

Community content. Shared plans are opt-in, moderated on report, and never dressed up as reviews. We do not create fake discussions, traveller reviews or testimonials.

Corrections. When a source revises a figure, pipelines overwrite it on the next refresh and the date updates. Errors reported through Contact or the community update form are reviewed by the research desk; corrections are logged with the date of change.

Independence. Rankings and data display are never influenced by advertisers or partners. If affiliate links are introduced they will be disclosed at the point of decision and kept distinct from editorial rankings.
