The Remotely from Georgia programme has ended, but the one-year rule and the Individual Entrepreneur tax regime (1 percent on turnover under a threshold) make Georgia unusually friendly to freelancers.

Marshrutkas (minibuses) go everywhere cheaply; the overnight train to Batumi and Zugdidi is comfortable. Bolt and Yandex Go handle city rides for a dollar or two.
